150g of sugar to how many mls??

I want to make some shortbread but don’t have any scales. Can anyone tell me how much sugar I need to use? I need 150g of sugar but only have measuring cups to measure out what I need. Please help! 🙂

  • A gram is a measurement of weight & a ml is a liquid measure – like comparing apples & oranges.

    150 gram = 185.185185185185 milliliter

    Try this site:

Dont forget to include the type of sugar you are using.

  • It does depend on what sort of sugar you are using- because different grain sizes take up more/less room, Sugars are quite dense/heavy so they usually take up less space than water (* remembering gms of water is equal to mls)… but if it is a fat grain the spaces may counter the density,…

I would use about the same amount gms as mls… it might just be a bit sweeter!

No this is NOT OK. You need to get a handle on the sugar amounts you eat daily. You’re only making more problems for yourself later in life if you don’t stop now. There are great helps at the sites I’m putting below in the sources. There are recipes that will satisfy the sweet tooth without giving you so many carbs in the daily intake. Please, don’t keep eating this much sugar, you’re killing yourself.

  • Are you trying to kill yourself? I don’t even consume that much sugar in a day Don’t eat carbs don’t drink sugary/alcohol drinks

  • 150 gm = slightly less than standard cup full

  • 1g=1mL. u use grams for solid ingredients and mL for liquid.

  • 357 ml 🙂
