I usually give myself a few seconds of rest in between sets…
On average, you should take two seconds to lift the weight and six seconds to lower the weight on each rep of each set of each exercise. That’s around eight seconds per rep which make a set of ten reps take 80 seconds or one minute and twenty seconds.
