• It’s completely appropriate if you’re a funky and fashionable person. My friend got married in converse!

  If you wear a long dress, it doesn’t matter what your shoes look like, but if you want a shorter dress, high-top converse would look awesome.

  Of course, you would want the skirt to be fuller so it matches the style.

• Converse are my favorite shoes in the world. I wear them all the time. But I wouldn’t wear them with a prom dress..but that’s just me.

  Since you want to add your own flair, you should go for it and you won’t be like everyone else wearing there fancy heels. If you’re gonna do it, don’t do a long dress, do a shorter type of dress.

• I think it’s appropriate! I’ll probably end up doing that as well, but prom’s a long time off for me. About 5 years, I think? Haha.

  If you would wear a short dress, I think it would be really cute. Like the kind with a lot of tulle under so it’s puffy as well, but you can see the tulle. Do you know what I mean?

  For graduation this year I’ll probably be wearing Hi-tops with my dress. Silver, I think, so it’s still a little dressy. You could try that as well. They also make some with sequins. That would probably be really cute. I think those come in hot pink, royal blue and black.

• Well, it’s been done before. I mean, it is kind of cool, but I think you can add flair to a prom dress in a different way. If you do wear them, wear a bright neon-y color, but I’d stay away fromt the overly satin materials. The best length is short to just past the knee. But if you want a long dress, it should be a little poofy/A-line. Wearing a sheath dress with Chucks takes away from the integrity of the dress.

  And don’t end with the converse when adding some edge to a dress. Get some chunky accessories, versus the dainty typical stuff. It can be the cheap plastic stuff from Claire’s, too. Try wearing black gloves. Here’s an example:

  It’s strange, but it works. And if you’re a little hesitant about wearing an innocent little lilac dress with such funky jewelry, go with a black or grey dress. And then you could wear some colored Converse as well.

• i dont think there are many dresses that would look nice with converse shoes but check stores like forever21, charlotte russe, express or wet seal if you’re looking to find a nice dress for cheap ♥

  a cute black mini dress with wild pink converse or a yellow mini dress with wight converse

  or blue mini dress with black converse would look better as for something like prom

• If that’s what you want to do, then by all means do it!! As for the dress, I wouldn’t go with a long sequined gown. Something short with a full skirt, something that’s like a throw-back to the 1950’s.

  i went to a valentines dance last night, and i totally regretted not wearing converse like i usually do. (I wore simple black flats)

  Heels are cute and lovely, but everyone else will be wearing them.

  That’s why, unless I have a super funky badass pair of heels (my favorite are BRIGHT BRIGHT neon silk blue) I wear converse. Also, I sometimes wear boots (my fave are black velvet 😀 But I dont like ankle boots)
