  • All creatures belong to Christ. All things were created through him and by him. Nothing that exists was created without him.

Yes, I would say he had and has a dog.

  • Did Jesus Have A Dog

  • Pets as we know them were unusual in those days, so probably not. But he is called the ‘Good Shepherd”. And for over 6000 years or something like that shepherds have had dogs herding and guarding sheep. So if he at any time, literally worked as a shepherd as well as a carpenter in Joseph’s shop, then he may have had or worked with dogs. .

Dogs did not have a good reputation in the Bible, or more recently in the Koran in the middle east. Apparently dogs that were used for guarding sheep, etc. would breed and the puppies would grow up and some would go wild, causing trouble. Also dogs’ fleas sometimes carried disease, they did not understand how, but associated dogs with disease.

Shepherds were also considered very low in Jewish society. We don’t understand that when the Christmas scenes show the Shepherds worshiping the Christ child. But this would have been like homeless people to many Americans or the lowest caste to Hindus. Shepherds were considered dirty and the fact they often had dogs did not help the dogs’ reputations.

  • Although dogs are mentioned in both the new and old testament, Jesus did not have a dog. I have attached the references to dogs in the bible for you.

Matt 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Matt 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Matt 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.

Mark 7:27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.

Mark 7:28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.

Luke 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

Phil 3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

2 Pet 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Rev 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

  • Nowhere in the Bible does it say Jesus had a dog, but its not important information and the writers of scripture wouldn’t include that in it. So I suppose it is plausible.

  • human beings additionally love money. Does that make Jesus a nickel? human beings additionally love automobiles. Does that make Jesus a Cadillac? human beings additionally love McDonalds. Does that make Jesus a cheeseburger? …do you notice the place i’m going with this? EDIT: Lol. Say it ain’t so, Matey!?!

  • Why would he need a dog? He had twelve men in robes following him everywhere and acting like dogs trying to get their master’s favor.

  • Little is know about Jesus’ early life. he most likely did not have one but its a humorus thought

  • Jews thought dogs were unclean. In His day, dogs were scavengers and ritually unclean. So, I doubt it.
