  • So, You want to tell someone you love them, but be able to say it is not what you said if it is not received well.

SORRY! Love has risks, and I (or any other self respecting guy) am not about to help you avoid them!

You could try "I'll Of You", but that makes no sense. You would sound like a kid who says he had his fingers crossed when he said it (an old way of trying to say it was permissable to lie at the moment)

If you LOVE her,(or him) Say So!. If they do not, does it change the fact that you do? If it does, then you do not, and are lying anyway!

Well, it all depends on how it's being used and the meaning behind it. See, I love my family. I love my friends. and I love my boyfriend. But they're all different kinds of love, especially when I tell them I love them. With family, it always seems more of a habit than anything, because since birth we've loved our family. That's how we're raised. So it's enstilled in us to love them. As for friends, well, let's face it, they're kind of like family. Especially close friends. And I have boy-friends (as in, boys that are friends) that I say I love you to. But it's usually when they've done something really funny, or very nice. Like telling a hysterical joke or letting me borrow homework. In the first one, I usually laugh and go "HahahaHAHAHA oh my god, I love you!" For the second, I'm usually frantic in the first place about not doing my homework, so it's more like "Phew. Thank you so much, I love you!" And the last one. That's the one where it truly counts. This is when you look that special person straight in the eyes and tell them I love you. For this one, it really shouldn't be said unless you mean it above all the others. Overall though, yes, it is used rather loosely, but if you think about it, you really don't say it to anyone you don't not "care DEEPLY about". Because anytime you say it, it's to someone you obviously care about. As for those girlfriends of yours, pay close attention to how they say it, and when they say it. If they're casual like me, it's a friend thing. If you're usually alone when it's said, it could be something more. But of course, if it's a girl you're not even interested in, why bother wondering? lol
