  • This is factoring by grouping, so rearrange to be this: ab + a + 4 + 4b, so then its just a(1 + b) + 4(1 + b) = (a +4)(1 + b)

  • Ab 4 A 4b

  • ab+4+a+4b=

    =ab+4b+a+4=

    =b(a+4)+(a+4)=

    =(a+4)(b+1)
