How many alcohol units in…?

beer and stuff?

Ok seriously now. guidelines for units of alcohol are known. For a pint of beer or lager at 3.5% it is known to contain 2 units of alcohol. For spirits 25ml of vodka, gin, brandy etc contains 1 unit.

So new pub measures are now 35ml, how many units?

When was the last time you found 3.5% lager or beer? So how many units in a pint of Stella or Kronie both about 5%? and how many units in a pint of the new carling 2C (2%)?

Wines easy, 1 unit in 125ml (small), 1.5ish in 175 ml (medium) 2 units in 250ml (big)

This is not a way of finding how much you can drink before you drive – The simple reason is nothing.

  • For those who drink, alcohol is something to be enjoyed. Most of the time, drinking doesn’t cause any problems but drinking too much or at the wrong time can be harmful. The important thing is to know where the benefits end and the risks begin.

The Department of Health advises that men should not regularly drink more than 3 – 4 units of alcohol per day, and women should not regularly drink more than 2 – 3 units of alcohol per day. After an episode of heavy drinking it is advisable to refrain from drinking for 48 hours to allow your body to recover. This is a short term measure. People whose pattern of drinking places them at significant risk should seek professional advice.

  • Think it is a very difficult question to answer as alcohol can have a different affect on different people. One pint of Stella could make one person feel tipsy and have no affect on another. Also can depend on what has been eaten so that is why they recommend you drink no alcohol when driving.

  • Here, I’ll give you a simple answer…

    2 a pint

  • You can have 1.5 pints of 4.5% lager and still drive,

  • The answer is simple………..You drink you do not drive, easy really.
