• check how many cups of sugar are in the bag, and just divide it by two

• weigh yourself on scales and then do it again holding the sugar remove sugar until you have your weight increased by only 5 lbs when you step on scales holding bag of sugar.

• cup measures aren’t a good measure of weight because dry ingredients settle so much, but you could try measuring the whole bag into a container, counting cups as you go, then cut the number in half…
