In Donnie Darko, what books were mentioned?

I know there was the fake book by Roberta Sparrow, Philosophy of Time Travel.

But there were like 3 other books mentioned.

1 about time travel

1 the class was reading

and one that the class had to alternatively read because Kitty had the book banned in deleted scenes.

Oh, and 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes, and 12 seconds…

(:

  • Books mentioned or seen within the film:

    “The Destructors” by Graham Greene

    “Watership Down” by Richard Adams

“The Philosophy of Time Travel” by Roberta Sparrow (fake)

    “It” by Stephen King

    “The Tommyknockers” by Stephen King

Not sure how this answer can get a thumbs down?

It lists all the main books in the film.

Stephen King is Richard Kelly’s favourite author and he deliberately put a couple of his books in the film.

The Philosophy of Time Travel book, as well as its complete contents (tangent universes, etc), is a work of fiction, created by Richard Kelly, who wrote and directed it.

  • Watership Down by Richard Adams.

  • “The Destructors.”

Ive read it in class also.
