There is no tribe of DAN, no tribe of Naphtali, Manaseh is there, but not Ephraim……Could the Nepthalims be a combination of the missing tribes?
The 12 tribes mentioned in Revelation chapter 7 must refer to this spiritual Israel for several valid reasons. The listing does not match that of natural Israel at Numbers chapter 1. Also Jerusalem’s temple and priesthood and all the tribal records of natural Israel were permanently destroyed, lost forever, long before John had his vision in 96 C.E. But more important, John received his vision upon a background of the aforementioned developments from and after Pentecost 33 C.E. In the light of such events, John’s vision of those standing on the heavenly Mount Zion with the Lamb (whom natural Israel had rejected) revealed the number of this spiritual Israel of God to be 144,000 “bought from among mankind.”—Re 7:4; 14:1, 4. (Insight book volume 2) The apostle Peter quoted what had been said to natural Israel and applied it to this spiritual Israel of God, saying it is in reality “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession.”—Ex 19:5, 6; 1Pe 2:9. These are a chosen priesthood that is co-rule with Jesus within God’s heavenly Kingdom. These are chosen from mankind. Revelation 14:3 “And they are singing as if a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to master that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought from the earth. 4 These are the ones that did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins. These are the ones that keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes. These were bought from among mankind as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb, 5 and no falsehood was found in their mouths; they are without blemish.” Who are among the 144,000 ones chosen that are in this new covenant that Jesus established at the Lord’s Evening Meal? To the 11 faithful apostles he promised that they would sit on thrones. (Lu 22:28-30; compare 2Ti 2:12. AND Later, he showed that this promise extended to all spirit-begotten ‘conquerors.’ (Re 3:21; see also Re 1:4-6; 5:9, 10; 20:6.) On the day of Pentecost he inaugurated this covenant toward them by the anointing with holy spirit of those disciples present in the upper room in Jerusalem. (Ac 2:1-4, 33) Those who would stick with him through trials, dying his kind of death (Php 3:10; Col 1:24), would reign with him, sharing his Kingdom rule. The selection started with the Apostles down to today. The process continues until it is sealed right before Armageddon. Matthew 24:34 “Truly I say to YOU that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.”
“I heard the form of people who have been sealed, one hundred and 40-4 thousand, sealed out of each and every tribe of the sons of Israel: . . . Judah . . . Reuben . . . Gad . . . Asher . . . Naphtali . . . Manasseh . . . Simeon . . . Levi . . . Issachar . . . Zebulun . . . Joseph . . . Benjamin.” (those can’t be the tribes of organic Israel because of the fact there under no circumstances grow to be a tribe of Joseph, the tribes of Ephraim and Dan are no longer lined interior the checklist here, and the Levites have been set aside for provider in connection with the temple yet weren’t reckoned as between the 12 tribes. See Numbers a million:4-sixteen.) Is the huge form a hundred and forty four,000 merely symbolic? the respond is indicated by way of the undeniable fact that, after point out of the specific huge form a hundred and forty four,000, Revelation 7:9 refers to “an excellent crowd, which no guy grow that facilitates you to huge form.” If the huge form a hundred and forty four,000 weren’t literal it would lack meaning as a assessment to the “super crowd.” Viewing the huge form as literal consents with Jesus’ assertion at Matthew 22:14 on the subject of the dominion of the heavens: “there are a number of invited, yet few chosen.”
Naphtali = “wrestling” was the sixth son of Jacob, the second child borne to him by Bilhah, Rachel’s slave. His posterity form the tribe of Naphtali. Nephthalim occurs thrice: Mt 4:3; Mt 4:15; Rev 7:6. Peter also betrayed him thrice, and perhaps twice. As for 144,000 it’s as twelve ‘legions’ of angels, kinda like the old & new 12 were a dirty dozen. So no matter how you tribalize it, it’s still dirty. Point: tribal men-tality is so yesterday
There is no mention of nephilim in the NT. In the OT they were human giants like Goliath. The seed of Cain and Seth had mingled and produced them. There is no Dan mentioned in Revelation because God had disinherited his tribe long ago. God gave Joseph Dan’s portion (a double portion) to Ephraim and Manasseh.
Unlikely that the Bible is implying this. There are only a couple of passing references to the Nephilim in the Bible, and one of those references suggests that they are no longer around.
The nepthalim were not totally human. The Bible shows that their fathers were angels from heaven. Remember, the bad angel Satan was busy making trouble. He was even trying to get God’s angels to be bad. In time, some of these angels started to listen to Satan. They stopped the work that God had for them to do in heaven. And they came down to earth and made human bodies for themselves. Do you know why? The Bible says that it is because these sons of God saw the pretty women on earth and wanted to live with them. So they came to earth and married these women. The Bible says that this was wrong, because God made the angels to live in heaven. When the angels and their wives had babies, these babies were different. At first they may not have looked very different. But they kept growing bigger and bigger, and getting stronger and stronger, until they became giants. These giants were mean. And because they were so big and strong, they would hurt people. They tried to force everyone to be bad like themselves. E′noch had died, but there was one man on earth now who was good. One day God told Noah that the time had come for Him to destroy all the bad people. But God was going to save Noah, his family and many of the animals. But even after this, some people were very big and considered giant in size. The faithless spies reported to the Israelites that in Canaan they “saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who are from the Nephilim; so that we became in our own eyes like grasshoppers, and the same way we became in their eyes.” (Nu 13:33) These men of extraordinary size, called the sons of Anak (probably meaning “Long-Necked [that is, of tall stature]”), were not actually Nephilim, as reported, but were only unusually tall men, for the Nephilim, the offspring of angels and women (Ge 6:4), perished in the Flood.
The Nepthalim (no ‘s’) were a mythological race of giants. Kind of like boogie men. When John wrote Revelation, he used them as a symbol, knowing that his Jewish readers would know the background on the story. They never really existed.
There are 15 cars on the lot. What time will the 757 land at grand central station? That is how much sense your question makes.

I see answers about the nephilim. the nephilim were really what we call today neanderthals. the bible records how cro-magnon man destroyed the inferior neanderthals. ”the sons of god” is the only way people with limited intellects could explain humans that were different. check out the hebrew root word for nephilim. this one word describes how the cro-mags killed off the neanderthals. Strong’s H5303 – nĕphiyl = giants, the Nephilim now the root word; nephilim=Strong’s H5307 – naphal = 1) to fall, lie, be cast down, fail a) (Qal) 1) to fall 2) to fall (of violent death) 3) to fall prostrate, prostrate oneself before 4) to fall upon, attack, desert, fall away to , go away to, fall into the hand of 5) to fall short, fail, fall out, turn out, result 6) to settle, waste away, be offered, be inferior to 7) to lie, lie prostrate b) (Hiphil) 1) to cause to fall, fell, throw down, knock out, lay prostrate 2) to overthrow 3) to make the lot fall, assign by lot, apportion by lot 4) to let drop, cause to fail (fig.) 5) to cause to fall c) (Hithpael) 1) to throw or prostrate oneself, throw oneself upon 2) to lie prostrate, prostrate oneself d) (Pilel) to fall
