Please let me know if i got this right, thanks!

Question:

∫ (x – 2/x^2)(x + 2/x^2)

Attempt at Answer:

∫ (x – 2x^-2)(x + 2x^-2)

∫ (x – 4x^-4)

= x^3/3 – 4x^-3/-4

I used (x^n + 1)/(n + 1), is this correct? Thanks!

  • This line

    ∫ (x – 4x^-4)

    should say

    ∫ (x^2 – 4x^-4)

    and final result should be

    x^3/3 + (4/3)x^-3

Your method is correct, but be careful of details.
