What are both the ionic and net ionic equations for this reaction.

Could you also give me both to these equations:

.. Ca(OH)2 (aq) + Na2CO3 (aq) —> CaCO3 —> (s) + 2 NaOH (aq)

and.. KOH + HBr —> KBr + H2O

    net ionic :

    CO32- + 2 H+ >> H2O + CO2

    Ca2+ (aq)+ 2OH- (aq)+ 2 Na+(aq) + CO32-(aq)

    >> CaCO3 (s)+ 2 Na+ (aq)+ 2 OH- (aq)

    net ionic

    Ca2+ + CO32- >> CaCO3

    K+ (aq) + OH- (aq) + H+ (aq) + Br- (aq)

    >> K+ (aq) + Br- (aq) +H2O (l)

    net ionic

    H+ + OH- >> H2O

  • “net ionic equation” is an achedemic term I haven’t heard since I attended college over 20 years ago. However….

    Na2CO3 -> 2Na(+) + CO3(-2)

    2HNO3 -> 2NO3(-) + 2H(+)

    This is a reaction between a strong acid and the salt of a weak base. The product is salt and a weak acid. The weak acid decomposes into H2O and CO2:

    H2CO3 -> H2O + CO2

    Na2CO3 -> 2Na(+) + CO3(-2)

    A hydroxide reacts with a carbonate forming a strong base and an insoluable carbonate
