Pantech link usb driver software for windows 7?

I just bought a usb cable for my pantech link phone but my laptop wouldn’t recognize the contents of the phone and asked me to download a usb driver. I downloaded the usb driver BUT it is not compatible with windows 7. Is there a pantech link pc suite that IS compatible with windows 7? I called AT&T but they had no clue what I was talking about or how to fix it.

  • The Official Pantech Link PC Suite and Usb Driver for Windows 7 is not yet published.

Links to your Pantech Link PC Suite and Usb Driver (Vista) are below. However, Vista drivers work with Windows 7.

    Try to Troubleshoot Compatibility:

    1) Uninstall the program if it’s already installed. Then when you install/reinstall it instead of double clicking on the install file right click it and select “Troubleshoot Compatibility”

    2) Then click “Try Recommended Settings” and in the next windows click “Start the Program” to install it.

    3) After it installs see if it works correctly.

Disable driver signing in Windows 7:

1.Go to Start menu and type cmd.exe in the Search Bar and press Enter. (Remember you must be logged on as Administrator)

2.Now type the following and press Enter:

    bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

    bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON

    3.Restart your computer

This will disable your Windows 7 driver signing.

    Then, Install the Vista Driver.

    Hope This Helps!
