Hi,
For this question, divide both sides by 2 to get:
2x + 3y = 6
Subtract 3y from both sides to get:
2x = 6 – 3y
Divide both sides by 2 to get:
x = 3 – [3y/2] <==== FINAL ANSWER
I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

I dont understand the x and y intercept yet this feels like a simultaneous equation to me. the 2d equation is two cases the 1st one. So, 2(2x+3y) = 2(6) = 4x+6y = 12 So 12 = 12

x=3
-
4x + 6y = 12
4x = 12 – 6y
x = 12 – 6y over 4
x = 2 (6 – 3y) over 2 (2) … factorisation
Cancel out the 2 on top and the 2 below.
You’ll get x = (6 – 3y) over 2

This is an example of indefinite equation. u can have various solutions to the given equation. The values x=0,y=2 & x=3,y=0 are only two examples. U can treat it as the equatn of a straight line and various values of x,y both integral and fractional satisfy it.

4x 6y 12
-
4x + 6y = 12
4x= -6y+12
x=(-6y+12)/4=(-3y+6)/2=-(3/2)(y-2)
None of the above.

4x+6y=12
4x=-6y+12
x=-6/ 4y+3
-
4x = 12 – 6y
x = ( 12 – 6y ) / 4
x = ( 6 – 3y ) / 2
x = 3 – (3/2) y
-
None of those ,
x = (12 – 6y) / 4
