  • Blind Copy To but usually, someone would use BCC

CC goes back to Carbon Copy, which really does not apply, so some people now use CT – copy to

Well my two cents. I’ve heard people say some very, very, VERY stupid things about why they’re against hunting. I personally think hunting is the natural way to go, human beings have hunted for thousands of years, before we ever began to farm produce, in fact our brains expanded rapidly so we could understand spacial and creative concepts and craft weapons and hunt (and the time period where we started to eat meat was where human beings experienced a general increase in brain size and cognition). I think people don’t understand the fact that there is a huge difference between hunting and buying meat at the store. I personally don’t hunt, I don’t even eat meat, but that’s just because I disagree with buying “farmed”, store-bought meat but can’t really bring myself to kill animals, maybe I’m just emotionally weak or something. I grew up on a farm and I saw my dad slaughter pigs and chickens for the first eight years of my life, and my grandmother always tried to make me not watch but I would peek out the window sometimes and I just didn’t like seeing the animal thrashing and bleeding everywhere. It kind of freaked me out. But to be honest with you I think it’s just my own problem, I’m over sensitive, since no other animal on this planet worries about killing humanely or about the life their food lead, you know? I definitely DO NOT think I’m any better than anyone else for it. But I guess that’s part of the whole intelligent, creative package as a human being, we start to over-think our relationship with animals and the environment and begin to seperate ourselves from nature. Hunting IS natural. It’s just something I really don’t feel comfortable doing myself. I think that’s another reason others might look down on hunters – they’ve pretty much seperated human beings from the rest of nature mentally. Some of the stuff I have heard people say in defense of anti-hunting stances are “animals in the wild might have families, with little babies in some cave somewhere, while factory farmed animals had a bad life and probably want to die” and other weird, half-handed generalizations and excuses. You’d be surprised, a lot of the people I’ve met that hate hunting or think it’s cruel don’t think twice about eating a burger at McDonalds, but somehow when it’s someone that’s actually going out and doing their own hunting, they get ridiculously offended. Also, a lot of newbie teenager vegetarians get their underwear in a knot and hate anyone that eats meat. But over time, most vegetarians honestly stop caring that much about other people’s business, I did say *most*. A majority of the people I work with and am friends with don’t even know what my personal diet choice is, but it’s always that one jerk in the bunch that preaches and antagonizes everybody that the world remembers and ruins it for the rest of us.
