  • As first answer suggests... What are you asking about?

Silcone started a name brand polymer adhesive. It is available from a number of different producers and a number of different formulations for slightly different applications. Once it cures, it feels like rubber. A different polymer material also referred to as silcone is used for, among other thingsʙʀᴇᴀsт implants.

The element silicon, Si, is one of the most common elements on earth, found in sand and glass as SiO2 and in a wide variety of minerals. Pure Si is used as the substrate for integrated circuits (ICs) so your computer, tablet, phone, iPod, iPad, calculator, etc all have Si chips. Si, the element, looks and feels like a hard metal but it is fairly low density (less than the density of Al).

  • feels like thick paste and if settled it feels like rubber, if you are asking silicon using in electronics it feels like dark purple/black soft sand stone
