Ans) .RNA polymerase moves along the template strand of the DNA creating an mRNA strand. There are four steps in Transcription of DNA. 1)Initiation 2)Elongation 3)Termination 4)Processing

During elongation RNA polymerase moves along the template strand and uses base pairing complimentary with the DNA template to create an RNA copy .If the template strand runs from 3′ –> 5′ the produced RNA copy runs in opposite direction ie from 5′ —>3′.(except that thymines are replaced with uracils )
