  • Yes-PCAP is a low cost program for people that make more money than is allowed for medicaid.

Medicaid has no co-pays or out of pocket expenses for covered services.

No way to know. Medicaid is run on a state by state basis, and states have been changing their medicaid programs, to cut costs. You’ll have to check with YOUR state Medicaid program. Some states, you can change once a month, some states, once every six months or once a year. But what it sounds like to me, is the entire PROGRAM changed, and your old doctor doesn’t take Medicaid any more. You’ll have to get in line and try to find a NEW doctor that takes your Medicaid, and is willing to do the surgery. Government run health insurance like welfare health insurance is USELESS, if no one will take it.

  • It means that the state is responsible for the payment of your medical bills according to federal and state guidelines. This also means that you might have trouble finding a provider that will provide services because they would probably get more money from insurance carriers and private pays.
