What is the difference between DDR3 and SDDR3 Graphic card?

  • Just mislabeling by vendors/merchants.. for graphics cards all memory is really GDDRx

  • DDR3 refers to RAM (system memory) while GDDR3 is graphics memory, embedded in a graphics card.

Lots of times DDR3 is used improperly in place of GDDR3.

    Never heard of SDDR3....

  • SDDR is a brand, Samsung RAM, but it has nothing to do with the type of memory. SDR is single data rate ram, obviously now replaced by dual data rate memory.

  • Trust me it's the same. It's just a typo. I prefer GDDR5 anyways.

  • perhaps its Superclocked
