what’s another way to say “carried bridal style”?

i'm writing a story and in this part the villain is carrying the heroine. he "picked her up bridal style" but she is unconscious and afraid of him when she is conscious so "bridal style" sounds stupid.

  • Just say he picked her up and carried her. If she's unconcious, how else would he carry her. Let the readers use their imagination a little.

  • Bridal Style Carry

  • Carry Synonym

  • Easter is calculated by the church based on a lunar cycle. Eastern Orthodox churches have a different date for Easter to the western churches. The name Easter comes from the Saxon goddess Eostre. Her feast was around the time of the Spring equinox. The date of Passover this year, when the Last Supper was held, is not until the 2nd April. The period of Passover spans from 2nd April until the 19th April.

  • Well, either you can use less words, or you can even describe every move.

  • "He picked her up as if carrying her over the threshold".

  • "He held her in his arms."

  • He lifted her.
