Why do some repair facilities offer community education programs?

  • So they can “educate” the community about all of the (excessive) amount of maintenance needed on your car, such as an oil change every 3000 miles and changing the belt on your car every 6 months regardless of condition, changing fuel filter more frequently than needed, etc. Basically to increase the volume of work they do by making customers think if they don’t change until say 5000 miles that it will do irreparable damage to their cars.

  • To get the community involved in the industry. Get students and kids excited about the industry and make future employees
