Why I can not find job with my MBA degree in business?

I had my MBA for about two years ago while I was doing my industrial labor position. I applied for positions online in many hiring websites, but the result is negative and I did not receive any calls. Has my investment became tarnish? I need answers.

  • 1. Your English skills are poor.

    2. MBAs are a major glut on most job markets.

    3. Your job search skills are obviously very poor. Restricting your search to online applications pretty much guarantees failure. Have you gone through your professional society? Networked?

    4. Why did you leave your prior position? What references & recommendations do you have? Performance records?

  • Keep plugging. 2009 to last week have not ben fertile ground for job or career applicants Where you are has a bearing. Use the employment agencies. You will land what you want. The job climate I starting to open up.

  • If you are in the U.S., your written English is not strong enough. You need to have strong communication skills in English, both in your writing and your speech. Ask someone who is fluent in English to review your resume’ to make sure there aren’t any mistakes there.

  • Please! I have 15 years of teaching experience, having taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I have a Master’s in Elementary Education that I earned with a perfect 4.0. I’m a member of my profession’s international honor society. There aren’t a half million of us in the country. I am a charter member of my school’s chapter. I work for the school district that my son attends. And I’m STILL just an Instructional Assistant. Have been for 4 years. I was told by many people in the district, including my principal, that being an IA was a “foot in the door.” I create instruction for 3 reading groups and a math group and I am in the classroom everyday, alone. The superintendent is a family friend and was even at my father’s wake! I’m still pulling in a whooping $17K a year. You’re not the only one who can’t reach their full potential because those who are not as experienced or as educated as you are won’t allow it.

  • Business MBA’s are fairly common. It’s not a waste of money to get a degree like that, it just doesn’t distinguish you very much.
