angular velocity?

An object whose moment of inertia is 4.70 kgm2 experiences the torque shown in the figure (Figure 1) .

What is the object’s angular velocity at 3.00 s? Assume it starts from rest.

    Total angular impulse experienced by object after t = 3.0 s is: 3 m-N-s {from graph}

    Avg Torque experienced by object for the entire 3.0 s period = 3 m-N-s/3 s = 1 m-N

    α = Avt Torque/I = 1 m-N/4.70 kgm² = 0.2128 rad/s²

    w at t = 3.00 s = αt = (0.2128)(3.00) = 0.638 rad/s ANS
