Stephen Curry is an American basketball player and is considered one of the best shooters in NBA history. In 2015, he also won the championship with the Golden State Warriors – their first championship win in 40 years.
All that success means Mr Curry is pretty well off – and that means he has more than his fair share of fancy cars. Here are just a few from his collection:
Mercedes-AMG G55
Much like his professional career, Curry likes to go big. In this case, his G55 has rims that really stand out. The bullbar on the front adds to the huge aesthetic this car brings to the road.
This car has a 493bhp supercharged V8 engine – and that’s supercar territory. Though an off-roader at conception, this G55 is more oriented towards urban driving, with low-profile tires and a 0-60 mph time of five seconds making it fastest of the Mercedes G-Class models offered in 2006.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS
This extreme version of the iconic sports car is a dream track car. Curry owns this car because it makes him feel that he is a part of the car itself – he says that it gives him “the very notion of speed”.
With a four-litre flat-six engine producing 500bhp, this German rocket definitely gets going. The RS incorporates things like lightweight floor mats, magnesium door handles and carbon fibre seats to reduce weight in order to create an absolute beast for the race track.
Porsche Panamera
Some people aren’t fans of the first generation Panamera because of its questionable styling. Others however, love the Panamera for the purpose it has, which is to look cool. It may not be a 911, but it can still shift. This car has a 520bhp V8 engine which is very good for a four-door saloon.
The Panamera features a bunch of clever tech such as adaptive air suspension and active anti-roll bars.
Sadly, Curry was involved in a collision in Oakland, California with the Panamera, and it was totally wrecked. Thankfully nobody was injured.
Range Rover
It seems to be a common theme that if you’re a celebrity, you must own a Range Rover. They offer a high ride and a luscious interior. What’s not to love about these big SUVs?
Curry chose this snow white paint colour to stand out from the crowd and he has said that this is his favourite car to drive out of his garage. Incredibly, this specific Range Rover’s chassis has even been stretched a few inches to accommodate for Curry’s height, which is pretty amazing.
